BC, Wotlk, and Cata currently do not have the arsenal choice meaning you gotta pay for each piece. If this is correct and launched (minus the elite part) then that will no longer be an issue.

Hi ¡ I'm planning on returning to my Ret Paladin, and I really dislike the Ashbringer, in any of it appearances, can someone give some advice on what to wield instead of it?

I'm a blood elf so I don't want anything enormous (its one of the main reasons which I dislike Ashbringer), and any kind of weapon will do.

Also, don't you think that Ashbringer should have a 2 handed mace appearance? We are paladins, we use to wield maces.

Understandable! I'm always a sucker for the practical weapons that look more historical accurate. Feeling sad that there never was a proper Flamberge sword in this game - closest was some NPC only weapon, a... hybrid that end up being a panda "Japanese Flamberge".

There's quite a variety of weapons in the game at this point.

I would point you over to the item model galleries at Icy Veins.
You can't preview items on a character, but they are useful when you just want to check if there is something with a color/shape you like. Then you can load it up on WoWhead or check in-game to see how it would look for a specific race or gender.
