Tbh i'd think it would be weird if u had a pig for a pet, like a real household pet, and would still eat pork.

Also, i wouldnt mind tasting dog meat. But eating it, while still owning and having dogs in the family, imo is kinda weird, and i wouldnt do it.
And that isnt some idealistic whats wrong and whats right bullshit, it just makes sense to not eat what u consider family, whether that might be dogs, cats, pigs, cows, etc.

I've entry plenty of dog (a year in Korea).
Only issues here are the concern of poison transmission, and people being unaware of what they were eating.
Dogs are just another animal.

In Europe a lot of meat comes from Asia and S. America, dog meat can pass as beef if anybody wonders and yes many of us might have already eaten dog meat without even knowing.

Well, that makes eating other people's dogs without the owners consent wrong, but I really don't see anything generally immoral about it if it's your own dog.

Dogs have been domesticated by human beings as companions on a massive scale to the point where that is their primary purpose. Killing a creature that primarily exists as a human companion is morally reprehensible.
