144Hz display question

When the fuck did 60 fps become 'choppy'? 60 fps was always perfect until those fucking monitors came. Now it's not good enough.

60 fps was subpar already back in original CS. That was long before "those fucking monitors came". 60 fps is fine if you're playing something slower paced game, but if there's ton of movement the difference is crystal clear.

Hey, if you're used to 60fps and it looks fine to you, just keep using that. Everything's just going to get more expensive once you start noticing the difference.

VSYNC is something you'll want to turn on only if your 144hz monitor supports G-SYNC, which you'll want to enable through NVidia's control panel. Otherwise definitely switch it off or you're only bottlenecking your performance.

Even then you shouldn't actually turn on VSync. GSync is enabled from completely different place than VSync.
