Been out of the loop when it comes to computer parts for a while so I need some advice.
Current Setup:
i5-2500k
8GB RAM
GTX 970
Fractal Design Tesla 650W
ASUS P8P67-M B3
So I'm thinking of upgrading the motherboard, RAM and CPU.
I have absolutely no clue whatsoever about motherboards so if someone can give advice that would be great.
For CPU I've been reading up on some things, didn't even use to consider buying AMD for what I consider is a lower midrange setup that I used to run. From benchmarks it seems like a i5-6600k has some decent benchmarks. Ryzen seems to perform decently but can they really top Intel when it comes to gaming? I was looking at a Ryzen 1600 as a comparison but it lags behind from what I've seen. I have a Noctua NH-D14 CPU cooler that I will use so most likely overclocking whatever CPU I'm buying.
Thinking of going for 32GB RAM, I'm sure 16 is enough but I feel like I might as well get 32 if I will have the setup for a few years.
Is 650W enough still or do I need a new power supply?
Thanks in advance!
