Plot:
- Jaina arrives to Kul Tiras and finds its people under Old Gods influence. They ruled by "unknown character" who works with N'Zoth and Naga. Group of Daelin's loyalist support Jaina and civil war begins;
- Alliance and Horde (compare to Legion) ventures in South Seas for different reasons. Genn and Anduin answer Jaina's call for help while Rokhan and Lor'Themar led by Vol'jins whispers. This expansion players will feel more like they fight on their own;
- Rebel faction of Kul Tiras people represented mostly by ghosts and mutated (tentacles) followers of Old Gods and have its own fleet that attack approaching Alliance and Horde in beginning;
- Genn is lost during storm and Tess leads worgens - she searching for her father while learns how to lead pack. With Alleria's come back Lor'Themar leave ruling and ventures in South Seas in hope to find answer why Vol'jin set Sylvanas as Warchief;
- Third raid (siege of Boralus) is hinted as breaking point of expansion story. It will explain why Naga attacked Kul Tiras (something related to its current location after Cataclysm) and who "unknown character" is. Big plot twist;
- There faction conflict storyline also that happens in old world zones (Kalimdor and EK);
Features:
- Max level 120;
- No world revamp but some of old zones are heavy phased and updated to current events;
- Worgen and Goblin new models. Worgen players gameplay wise are not longer can swap between human and worgen forms. Its changed to make worgen more unique as race;
- Subraces made in heroic class way. To have access for them you must have max level character. Different subraces start at different levels (lore reasons). For example Dark Iron dwarves start in Cataclysm level range;
- New Faction vs Faction world PvP system with defending and conquering lands/zones;
- Zone scaling;
