I am a fan of the game moving on, and the world displaying that. Cata rework was aweseome for me. My question is, the pvp faction of wow does not get a lot of new battlegrounds. So why dont they use stuff of the existing world. Southern Barrens, there are two bases and a small canyon between them, perfect for a capture the flag battle ground. A dominating battleground mode in Ashenvale, Azshara, another ctf in stonetalong. Where is the problem there (honest question here) I mean the basic structure of a ctf can be drawn on toilet paper while you take a look at your threads on mmoc at work

I thought it was clear, that, after they changed Wrathtion not to be Ebonhorn, that Wration took the disguise as Calia. As is the black dragons way? Honestly, I cant be the only one who noticed that. I mean she clearly talks about the Red Dragon Swarm when you talk to her in the class hall.

That's why player designed scenarios seem more possible than dungeons, since they don't require any rewards associated to them.

Not really though, because no rewards means no interest.

Seriously, if you don't have any rewards for part of WoW, how many players will engage with it? Almost none. So you just spent massive development budget and effort (which really, making anything player-designed would involve), so what, you could have some scenarios for everyone to ignore?

And the scenarios themselves would break down into:

A) MEMES!!!!

B) Attempts to violently violate the TOS. Also more memes.

C) Really incredibly shitty fan-fiction. With memes.

D) Attempts to somehow creating housing. Bonus memes.

E) Attempts to create Waifus/Dating Sims, etc. (admittedly this is basically C but...). Memes everywhere.

F) Ridiculous "challenges" which someone would try to link to a mod so we could determine if people were "gud" or needed to "git gud". Meme-themed, of course.

G) Rarest of all - Kinda okay fan-fiction with no memes. But that stuff would be super-rare.

I flatly disbelieve Blizzard would allow "player designed scenarios", or really, player-designed anything, not without some kind of testbed (and I'm not talking the sort of stuff you can do in SC2 and so on). If that was going in, there would have been player-designed something in Legion or one of the other Blizzard games.

The reason people keep suggesting it is because, like housing and so on, other MMOs HAVE done it. EverQuest 2 put in player-designed dungeons, City of Heroes had the Mission Architect, Neverwinter has a pretty extensive feature like this, and so on.

Trouble is, they're all kind of dubious (CoH least, but solely because the only people still playing then really loved the game), and they all kind of drag the game down rather than improving it. In WoW, if there was literally ANYTHING you could gain (XP, gold, loot, rep, whatever), people would just design scenarios/dungeons to get as much of that resource as possible as fast as possible. And if you couldn't abuse them that way? People would ignore them.

Hmmm, cutomizable mount is something we speculated. But Nazjatar as a contient? With Kul Tiras and Kezen cities of the continent? That would be kinda weird. Especially since Kezan is already a part of the Maelstrom continent.
