Missed the before season pick, but I'd say the Eagles really intrigue me for a Super Bowl push, so that's my pick, if I still can.

Yep you can. Any vote still counts. If the Lions make the playoffs, you'd still get points for them doing so, even though you only voted for them once. You just won;t get points for the time you skipped.

Even starting now and getting the Superbowl winner correctly would most likely put you at the top of the standings over people who picked the wrong team and voted from the start. They just had more chances at picking the right one, not that much of an advantage.

(unless the Patriots win, cause some people have been voting Patriots since day one)

I was down on them for a time, but at 5-2 and looking good, I'd have a hard time changing my pick away from the Seahawks.

I realize I haven't posted about how the points get distributed. This is basically the plan:

    SB winner - 50 points
    SB Loser - 25 points
    Conference loser - 20 points
    Division loser - 15 points
    Wildcard loser - 10 points

So, let's say you picked a Wild Card loser once and the Super Bowl Loser once and the Superbowl winner once, you'd get 10+25+50 = 85 points

In case you picked the Superbowl winner and stuck with it and voted twice, you'd get 50+50 = 100 points.

And, as of right now, there's going to be 12 playoff teams, and only 3 of them had gotten votes before this current vote round. The top 3 teams in the NFC had not gotten any votes before this round.

So, PLENTY of opportunity to make some noise.

Josh Gordon conditionally reinstated. Not quite sure what that means, but it sounds like "we're watching you, you little shit, but you can play".

It means he will be able to come off the exempt list on Nov 27 if he stays clean. He can attend meetings and workouts now, and practice on Nov 20th.

Oh, and of course I work Sunday, but the KC/Dallas game will be on CBS, and be called by Tony Romo. That's gonna be fun.

Brian Hoyer's deal with the Patriots:

    2017: $476K
    2018: $915K
    2019: $2.85M base ($1.5M guaranteed) & a $200k roster bonus.
    Total: $4.441M

a.k.a. vet minimum for 2 years and then a normal back up year. Patriots can get rid of him whenever they want or need. Ridiculously team friendly deal.

3:25, so yeah. Sounds like it would have made for a nice primetime game though.

Sticking with the Seahawks as my pick. Eagles are enticing, but I'm gonna go with the team with some experience in the postseason.

Ewww, why would you do that? Even besides the fact that it coincides with your team playing. /shudder

Still alive in Yahoo's survival football contest going into week 9, although I have no delusions that I'll win the $100k. Picked Detroit to win this week, and I'm feeling a little shaky about it. So far I've used Buf/Oak/Phi/Sea/Jets/Hou/Dal/Min.

Hoyer did get a bunch of money from the 49ers, offset language might mean he wouldn't get paid more anyway.

A group of Saints visited Miller in the hospital, now that the worst has passed he is probably feeling down.

@xskarma Sitcking with Patroits, they got through a really rough start with a great record and seem to be playing much better now. Don't see any reason to jump off of them.

If we're updating our picks I'm back on the Saints.
