Not unless that company filed on it first. If there's no competing filing, then Blizzard's would probably go through. I guess this other company could claim a common law trademark in the name and sue Blizzard, but seems like a remote possibility--esp. considering they're ripping off Blizzard and Blizz would have a host of counterclaims.

"Battle for Azeroth" just sounds incredibly cheesy and is cringeworthy. Blizzard wouldn't give us an expansion with a name like that. Sounds like the usual super expensive but awful world ending Hollywood blockbuster directed by Michael Bay.

I'm honestly shocked that Blizzard (or their local counsel) would have messed this up so badly - there are so many other places where they could have foreign filed and not risked the filing being made public before BlizzCon. Seems pretty sloppy on their part - I bet some angry emails are going around right now.

It's kind of a double meaning though. Both the Battle For Azeroth, the lands on the surface between Alliance and Horde AND Battle for Azeroth between us and the Old Gods (likely) for the World Soul of our planet.

It's not showy or poetic, but I kind of like the straightforwardness.

No, I get it - I'm mostly nitpicking, but... it just sounds basic-y. Shadowfall has a much better sound to it and can also have many more meanings than BoA.
