You couldn't have cross faction on the same server. So.. unless you played multiple and wasted a lot of valuable time even getting to the Barrens. I doubt it.

Well, actual barrens wasn't really trash talk, was more idle banter.

I never played anything other than 1 faction per server in Vanilla. But I thought you couldn't have opposite faction characters on the same server regardless of if it's pvp or pve.
Honestly in vanilla PvP meant you got ganked in Barrens and PvE meant your quest givers were always dead.
