    what's your proffesion?

mine would be mining and herbalism so i can use the auction house more often than other people
i have seen youtubers saying they will be engineering for the pvp trinkets but if you do that then it's an even longer grind to level up and get grinding again to get materials for some trinkets that could be replaced in a raid

Blacksmithing. I'm going to make the epics that I was too clueless about how to make last time.

Minor/Engeenering is optimal, but Minor/Skinning because I need money.

Look someone needs to skin Onyxia.

that would be heavily contested more than herbalism and mining

engineering is better for 20-40s not max level

I don't see how engineering is optimal. For the items usable in PvP perhaps ?
The big problem of engineering is how expensive it is to level.
I think I will try Herbalist/Alchemist. I never did either of these professions, so it's a fresh start.

it's not even good for max level pvp

but maybe they're all going to be huntards
engineers make their own ammo which is better than vendors
or maybe they want a gadgetzan teleport
the bombs are good for leveling i suppose

Consumables and gear will I think be big.
Engineering items have far too narrow a niche in my opinion to be in demand as much.

Mining/BS. Ore is a great market to break into when saving up for mount training and mounts, and blacksmithing will be handy when I level a plate class since I can funnel them gear as they level, especially at level 40 when they make the jump from mail to plate and have to deal with mount training on the side.
Be seeing you guys on Bloodsail Buccaneers NA!
