I mean, Blizzard have done it with some other addons. Why not Deadly Boss Mods since it's is probably the most popular wow addon and everyone has it or its analogue installed anyway?

Why would they ? What would people gain of it ?
People would most likely still mod it for changing or completely replacing the default "DBM". Bossmods are working great and heavily customisable, no point in wasting time to do something subpar.
And BigWigs is better /s
Boss mods are the result of the community looking at fights and parsing what would be the most useful data (and the most useful way of representing it). During progress at the launch of a tier, that work is being done by the big guilds and that particular Boss Mod's devs.
Having that as a part of the default UI means this work is already done when the first mythic guild to reach that point pulls the fight. It would be a stupid change that would remove an entire part of the work for beating the boss.
Meanwhile it would provide no improvement to the average player who would not reach that point before the Boss Mod had been updated with all that info anyway.
So it would be useless at best, dumb and damaging to the game at worst.
i dont play with any mods, i was never into the hardcore raiding scene but i did my fair share of it from vanilla through cata. never needed it lol
It would be interesting if they broke DBM by removing boss quotes the addon watches for. instead, your clue would just be visual like where the boss is standing or if it raises both fists or something.
TO FIX WOW:1. smaller server sizes & server-only LFG awarding satchels, so elite players help others. 2. "helper builds" with loom powers - talent trees so elite players cast buffs on low level players XP gain, HP/mana, regen, damage, etc. 3. "helper ilvl" scoring how much you help others. 4. observer games like in SC to watch/chat (like twitch but with MORE DETAILS & inside the wow UI) 5. guild leagues to compete with rival guilds for progression (with observer mode).6. jackpot world mobs.
no i really didnt. the only addon i ever used was some kill shot notifier addon that would pop up a notification when someone in your group got a kill shot in a bg. it was an immensely fun drinking game.
outside of that i never used any. unless you're a mythic raider i dont really see the need for them. its not overly hard to move out of the fire. part of the reason i enjoyed swtor was they didnt have any addons.
They have incorporated it already in some way, every single boss has an energy bar and uses special abilities at specific thresholds so you know when stuff is coming without an addon giving you timers. Obviously the addon makes it simpler and easier to see but you get the idea.
Fair enough, guessing in that case that you're getting the information directly from a voice chat then, like a raid leader or someone else who isn't just a leech on the team and has addons telling you what to do. That or you're one of those who takes ages learning a fight.
you misunderstood the context. i was never into hardcore raiding but did my fair share of raiding in general.
that being said. in wrath our guild did do some heroic raiding but we were the very definition of a casual guild. if we managed to get a boss or two down on heroic, great. if we didnt it didnt bother us.

do you raid with a group of people who dont communicate via a voice chat program? lol
I doubt if they want to support it.
Time they spend updating it is time away from something else. In this case, that's true.
