I used to live in a county with several Pomo Indian reservations on it. They owned several casinos that brought nice business into our little county. My middle school football team was the Chiefs, my high school team was the Indians. The Pomos never had any problem with it. Was like that for almost a hundred years. A couple of years after I moved away I read in the paper some immature child felt the need to complain on the Pomos behalf, and they were forced to change the name of our teams. Made me sad. Happened to my grandma's high school too.

How many of the people freaking out were Japanese? In my experience they love it when other people get involved in their cultural history.

SJW about how girls are dressed:
"Women should be able to dress however they want. My body, my rules."

Also SJW when a woman dress as a native:
    "REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

When someone cries about cultural appropriation, you can safely assume they are just some retarded sjw. Its just a made up term for "muh oppression".

    Girl is fine tho

Exactly, that's what a lot of people (japanese included) came in and said that was a big part of japanese culture (exploring other cultures and celebrating them) and general consensus was that it was very tasteful

It is bad because it erodes a culture's history causing future generations of that culture to lose sight of their culture's true contributions to the world.
    Are you serious?

All of that is just nonsense.

It is hard to tell.. The 30 are certainly out of the picture though..
    I'd say anywhere between 13 and 23.

Came across this earlier, people are screaming about cultural appropriation and racism in the comments. I'm dumbfounded, why are people so pissed at her for dressing up for a Halloween event? Can people not dress up like they want to as long as they're not disguising their identity or exposing too much of their body?
Guess they haven't been to an Indians or Redskins game lately.

    Mankind evolves by sharing ideas.
A caveman once dug up and melted copper; and the idea spread, ending the stone age.
Some person in central asia domesticated the horse 4000 years ago. The idea spread, changing human transportation forever.
A chinese chemist once created gunpowder. The idea spread, changing the face of warfare forever.
An italian once cooked tomato and cheese on a flat bread. The idea spread, and today we all enjoy pizza.

To make the best humanity ever, we should share ideas and culture across the world.
We've been doing that since the start of human civilization.
It is literally the shoulders of giants on which great achievements can be accomplished.

The idea that some ideas exclusively belong to certain races or cultures is frankly, as regressive as it goes.
Why should some jackass get to decide that we must change this wonderful scheme of sharing of new ideas across the world?

I reject this mindset. I reject the ideology of the people fronting this idea.
They have, frankly, no idea what the hell they are talking about, and only spout this nonsense because they have made a fad out of getting outraged.

The thing about sharing ideas is - not all those ideas survive. Most are forgotten, in face of better ideas.
"Cultural appropriation" is one of those ideas best left on the graveyard of terrible ideas.

I'd take a bet and say its 90% middle class white college aged girls. Being a perpetual victim, even if its on someone elses behalf is just the latest way of attention whoring.
