An island close to undiscovered lands with ogre ruins sounds like a big hint to me.

All right, regarding the "hub".

"VoidElfHub" is the internal name of the map. What you will see when zoning in is: Fate's Veil.
In the game file were "SafeLocs" are stored, it is described as "Void Elf Unlock Scenario Entrance".

So don't get your hopes too high on allied races's hub.

The Heritage Armor quest has you go back to the Veil, so I'm assuming that just like the other races (Vindicaar, Suramar, Highmountain) the Veil will serve as their "city".

Interesting. I knew from strings they were doing a "choose your destination" for picking between BC/Wrath and Cata/MoP, didn't know if they'd do that for every zone.

I hope we can still quest organically....

No one 'forced' the Forsake to push into Gilneas. It was Sylvanas who saw an opportunity to bolster her Forsaken ranks with fresh corpses thanks to the Val'kyr she had recently acquired after the LKs defeat. Garrosh just went along with it because Forsaken territory is Horde territory and the only good humans are dead humans.

My only problem with that place is that their Hub its, literally, a random flying space rock with nothing in it (though i like the Old Gods corrupted planet in the background)

You probably still can go into a random zone hub and start questing (if high enough level), this is just an updated version of the Hero Call Board that gives players breadcrumb quests (useful for new players).

Because that's a pretty dumb reason. They could have a port in Tirisfal Glades, Silverpine or even Silvermoon for that matter.
Even if it was the reason, Sylvanas wouldn't have bothered at all if she didn't have something to gain from it, which she made very clear in the Silverpine questline that it was to bolster her ranks.
