The market has been trending up for the better part of a decade. Presidents certainly have some influence on the market and I'm sure the carrot of tax cuts has had some impact on the market going up under Trump, but I very clearly remember people arguing endlessly that the record market highs under Obama didn't mean anything, the unemployment numbers were lies, the economy was still in shambles, yet suddenly all of it is very real and has great meaning under Trump. All of these indicators have been trending this way for so long, to say that 'Trumponomics' is the reason is a bit silly. If the market crashed hard tomorrow and we went into a major recession, would you be saying it was 'Trumponomics' that caused it?
