Yea, looks like places are starting to call Jones.

NYT has >95% chance of winning.

  2. #262
Jones is slightly ahead, he have not won.

A civilized head of state of a civilized country will say, in the case of a victory of the opposition ''we got that some people don't like our policies and we are going to work harder''. They might (logically) point out that this a far cry from a general election

But they would NEVER demean the electors and call the results a fraud.

We are obviously not going to see that in the next 20 minutes. If Jones win, the Donald and Breitbart and O'Keefe are totally not going to invent a conspiracy that will be believed like the gospel within the hour. Totally not.

Love that republicans didn't go out and vote. Thank you!!!

I don't think they've woken up to Democrat enlightenment; abortion in particular was a big reason Moore got as many votes as he has. This is Alabamans plugging their noses for blue I think, not a warming-up of Alabamans toward Democrat ideologies.

Way to go Alabama. I underestimated you.

It's a sad state of politics when we consider that narrowly winning against a pedophile is an unexpected victory.

I FUCKING CALLED IT! None believed me when I said that there was hope for Alabama!!
    @Sulla where are you btw?

But either way this is a monumental screw up by republicans. They've just lost an exceedingly important senate seat in a red state with no way to get it back and 2020 will be MUCH more favorable to democrats than republicans.
I hope I’m not presenting it in that manner of being Dixiecrat like I absolutely despise them but my frustration is why pick moore over Luther? And again I hope not presenting it as extreme bitterness.

Well that was a surprising outcome there at the end.

Congrats to Alabama for not electing a child rapist who pissed on the rule of law as a judge.

Seriously fuck Roy Moore and Bannon.

Damning statement from Senate Leadership Fund CEO Steven Law: “This is a brutal reminder that candidate quality matters regardless of where you are running. Not only did Steve Bannon cost us a critical Senate seat in one of the most Republican states in the country, but he also dragged the President of the United States into his fiasco.”

Honestly I think it would prove a good point to look back on for the people that voted for him. To see that they were prepared to sell their souls over politics.

If Moore wins, the people just plug their ears and go "at least it worked!" But if he loses, they have to face what they were prepared to do and do some ACTUAL introspection.

That's what I was HOPING would happen for the GOP had Trump lost the lost election; people would see the utterly unqualified craziness they were going to put into office and would have to take a long hard look at themselves. But unfortunately, that's not what happened.

Sad, even if abortion was illegal women would still have them. Even if being gay was illegal people would still be gay. Yet, 600,000 Republicans decided fucking little kids is morally acceptable to them. I'm sure the perverts on /r/the_donald are very upset that their sexual deviancy will not become mainstreamed tonight at least.

I, for one, would like to congratulate the people of Alabama for clearing the extremely low bar of not electing a child molester. The GOP can still go fuck itself for backing him at the last minute, though.

Alabama as restored some of my faith in humanity tonight. They didn't elect a Racist,Sexist Pedophile for there senator. It was barely a win but a win and Alabama hasn't been a democrat state in 25 years until tonight.

Got to start change somewhere I hope it starts here.
