No matter how much posturing is done - the US will NEVER do this - even though successive administrations bemoan the anti-American slant often taken by the UN - having the UN on US soil gives America leverage, easy and ready access to foreign diplomatic corps, and very easy access to foreign intel. The UN may move themselves eventually (most likely to Brussels) however it won't be because the US booted tgem

Wouldn't appealing to the Jewish American vote alienate the Alt-Right group who protested shouting "Jews will not replace us!" Don't those people support Trump?
There is a really weird alliance going on, between Jewish people and christian evangelicals, because the bible says something about
    "1. Retake Jerusalem
    2. Lake of deadly Fire
    3. Jesus!

Trump lost a bunch of evangelical votes in alabama, because he supported an accused pedophile. To get their votes back, he is now "giving" Jerusalem back to the Jews, so that Jesus can come back.
"And all those exclamation marks, you notice? Five?
A sure sign of someone who wears his underpants on his head."

Also, this is GOOD politics for the US. Why should be continue to let the UN bully us? They were not elected in to US office. We do not answer to them. They have no power over us.

No country answers to the UN, are you this ignorant on its purpose?

So what? It's still factually where their capital is. If anyone has a problem with that, they can remove them from it, just like any other capital on this rock.

It's not empty talk. We don't care what they do. No action is needed. What are you talking about?

Why does the US want to do this? What benefit does it bring them?
From what I read this has been going on since the 70's and every president has signed something postponing it, including Trump.

This reminds me of the time Trump phoned Taiwan. How well did that work out?

Jerusalem may be the capital of Israel but it creates less friction if you don't say it out loud. Business carries on if you don't say it out load anyways. At least Sheldon Adelson is happy. That's a plus right?

Taiwan worked out great. What are you on about? Trump has called them since. Meanwhile China relations are better than ever. This is all bullshit. You know that, right? This is childish politics, to pretend like countries don't exist, etc. Let's all live in reality instead.

As for Jerusalem. Nah, fuck your idea. Say it out loud. It's the truth. It's never a BETTER thing to do, to deny reality. Denial is not good for anyone.

And what has happened since the US said this? Nothing. Literally nothing has happened. A meaningless UN group passed a meaningless resolution, which at best, will be taken out back and pissed on, if it even rises to that level. Meanwhile, the world itself doesn't seem to care. Where are the big riots and wars that were supposed to happen? It's almost like the actual real public doesn't give a flying fuck about pretending the wrong city is the capital.
