I just had to get this off my chest because it's extremely annoying to see a flurry of people who blast companies (specifically Blizzard) and or players for either providing *optional* content for $$$ (Blizzard), or purchasing *optional* content for $$$ (Players).
WoW is a sub based game. Yes we all get that. But that doesn't mean that Blizzard can't still offer additional *GASP* OPTIONAL content for a few real dollars.
Even games like SWTOR, RIFT, FFXIV, have subscription models, and at the same time, you can be subbed to the game AND *GASP* Pay for optional digital goods and services!
Please. Help me understand the point of view that providing optional goods and services in a sub based game is somehow "unethical" "immoral" "greedy" or any other negative word ive seen to describe the practice.
All companies are going the way of paid DLC, and thankfully, games like WoW only offer it as optional services and goods. Imo, until Blizzard starts to require you to buy mounts, and pets, and other stuff from their shop alongside your sub, thats when it becomes greedy / unethical.
