that was fully stable Sentry iirc.

At the start of the fight, yes. If I remember rightly, he lost it a bit towards the end and when he realised he was losing control he got Hulk to finish it.

Tbh, that seems to be how most big fights with Sentry end... It was the same with Thor Vs Void during Siege.

yeah, it's a surprise no doubt.

She will be as strong as it takes to appease the crowds they're pandering to.

Well, later in the career of Ms. Marvel, she acquired to powers of Binary, which were similar to a Herald of Galactus.

The strong ones are... But Captain Marvel at her most powerful is about as powerful as baseline Hulk/Thor.

My main problem with her being so strong is that they've nerfed the shit out of Thor/Hulk/Wanda... And then they're making her WAY more powerful than she should be. Seems kinda stupid.

How powerful actually is she in the MCU compared to how powerful she "should" be?

We're talking about marvel movies here yea? Comics are a different breed. So i'll leave them alone and only comment on the movies...

Havent all the marvel heroes gotten the "Powered down" treatment? We've never seen a full strength hulk or thor or spiderman,

They tend to approach these heroes from the story telling perspective of having them start from the beginning and working out their conflict/problems and gaining power ups and a new suit too boot as the character progresses.

Now if you'll allow me to pretend casting Brie Larson as the hot new Miss Marvel that will reach a new power threshold we havent yet seen wasnt just a SJW pandering move to show off how feminist marvel is but was actually coming from a story telling place, where after 18 films of the same formula they need to mix it up a bit, and with the biggest threat they have ever had to face with thanos/infinity glove the earth/universe responds with its greatest hope to defend it as well.

Idk we have to see how it plays out before we judge it but omg why is gurl so much stronger than hulk seems kinda lame when we havent seen how they introduce it to the universe.

Assuming its an origin story(she won't be Binary) and they're also changing how she acquires powers(presumably not cosmic or not as we expect it), we really have zero idea of how powerful she is, case closed pretty much.

She's MCU's shot at Superman(woman) considering they share alot of the powerset, with Wonderwoman being such a huge success you can be sure Marvel will be banging the drum hard on how awesome she is over the next year or so and prob completely ground how she gets her powers but completely over inflate her strength despite that.

Hmm..yeah, everybody got hit by the nerf bat before they were even presented in the MCU.
If she is going to have the power of Binary, and it will indeed be similar to comic-book level, then yes, she will be far stronger than any in the MCU for the simple reason that they didn't nerf her as they did everyone else.

Is a good point, Marvel will defiantly want some of the wonder woman pie.

We don't know yet, seeing as she hasn't been introduced. However, Kevin Feige has said she's the most powerful character introduced yet. Which puts her above the likes of Thor/Hulk/Wanda, all of whom are WAY stronger than her.

To restate: My problem isn't that they've made Captain Marvel powerful, or why they've done it. It's that they're making her far more powerful than she should be, while previous heroes that actually ARE that powerful have all been nerfed. I would be totally fine with Captain Marvel rocking up and being a total shitruiner, if characters like Hulk, Thor and Scarlet Witch hadn't had their power levels reduced so harshly.

true, it's different but it's still based off the comics.

imagine if we instead of Iron - Man got Water Man, AKA Tony Stark.

some stuff cannot be completely changed.
