the ulnar nerve controls the feeling in the lower half of your hand and it runs through a tunnel like area in your elbow if it becomes constricted it causes numbness and pain in the lower half of the hand. The lower half of my hand is pretty much numb 24/7.

My left hand was like that years ago after playing to much WoW, i could bite my little finger really hard and not feel it.

Honestly the numbness doesn't bother me but if not treated it could lead to my hand being less functional and I should get it fixed before that happens.

I see. Well hopefully the surgery goes well. I might have to get surgery for this hernia that started a few days ago.
