John Wick 2 or Thor Ragnarok

I'm going to say Baby Driver, it was a blast from start to finish.

Logan was fun, but like Deadpool, not even this R-rated trend saves them from being yet another superhero movie. I'm glad for the fans (hopefully someday videogame movies will get this attention and care from writers and directors) but it seems almost every blockbuster is now about superheroes in one way or another.

Haven't seen Blade Runner yet, I wonder if I'll like it as much as some people.

I only saw a handful of new films this year. I didn't even see Star Wars yet. Personally I enjoyed Blade Runner 2049 way more than I thought I would. I normally hate Ryan Gosling but he did an amazing job in this film. Other than that I would say Kimi no Na Wa is my second favorite of the year I really thought the art and music of it were next level.

I really liked "I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House" an original Netflix "Horror" movie, it was something different and always a bit disturbing, great camera work and all the environment and stuff, you guys should watch it if you haven't heard of it before, could be a bit slow for some people but awesome for other who like this kind of movies.

I think it released in 2016 but it looks like it came out for me on the german Netflix in the 2017s I believe so it fits your thread

Is "coolest" just a bad way to say best, or are we actually talking about coolest? The former is Blade Runner 2049, latter is probably Baby Driver.

I agree with all of the above fully, but I will throw out an honorable mention that will probably get me mocked even though "coolest" is a vague description. Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets I found to be visually appealing and the story concept was interesting all be it not well executed.
