Paige Forced To End Her WWE In-Ring Career After Latest Injury

Paige's in-ring WWE career is reportedly over, according to a report from PWInsider.

Paige, 25, has been out of action since sustaining an injury at a RAW live event at the Nassau Coliseum in late December. Paige was teaming with Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville against Sasha Banks, Bayley & Mickie James. Paige took a kick to the back from Banks and dropped to the canvas. Paige struggled to get to her feet before falling to the mat, causing the referee to throw up the "X" injury signal and stop the match. A stretcher was brought out, however she was able to walk to the back with the help of the doctors.

PWInsider reports that Paige was told at this past Monday's RAW that she will not be able to return to the ring. It was noted that she is "done" as a wrestler, and that the situation is similar to Edge's retirement in 2011 due to a neck injury.

Paige had just returned to WWE in late November after a seventeen month absence due to a neck injury she suffered in June of 2016. During her absence she suffered two Wellness policy suspensions.

Such a dam shame, Hope the best for her.

Edit: Hope the WWE keeps her around as a manger or something at lease.

Your thinking of her injury nearly 2 years ago. She just came back and this injury happen mid December. Its coming out that's why she hasn't been in the ring since.

No it was both, she was past the neck injury which is why she was the 6 woman tag, that nasty kick from Banks basically reduced the old injury and then made it worse

I met Paige's dad once, her folks live in Norfolk. Nice guy, they used to run their own wrestling promotion there. Not sure they still do.

unfortunately I didn't get to talk to her because obviously at conventions they're trying to get alot of people through the line. but it was still cool. First photo op I ever got at a convention.

Last time I met Paige at a signing she was still signed with NxT. She was really friendly, for the short time I spent there. I met many wrestlers, I saw Bret Hart 3 years ago while he was in the UK, met British Bulldog back in 1994, and have also met a bunch of old British wrestlers back from the 80's like Giant Haystack, but I can barely remember that as I was really young, but my dad says Giant Haystack tried to lift me up but I was too scared lol. :P
