So was a missile fired at Hawaii?

A little while ago, people in Hawaii were alerted to an incoming ballistic missile, after that the whole incident was declared a mistake.

Now people are circulating rumors that there was a missile that was shot down. Anyone heard anything more about this event that is happening right now?

Before the camps, I regarded the existence of nationality as something that shouldn’t be noticed - nationality did not really exist, only humanity. But in the camps one learns: if you belong to a successful nation you are protected and you survive. If you are part of universal humanity - too bad for you -Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

That's still freaking scary. Even if nothing actually happened, that's a lot of panic going on over 'nothing'

If a missile was shot down heading toward Hawaii you could probably expect a declaration of war within hours. I am going with false alarm, these things do happen.
The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.

I hope someone is investigating this, because with false alarms like that, the day when a real missile will be shot, nobody will believe it.

If we successfully shot down a missile, we would be crowing about it for weeks.

That's really the best thing we could possibly do to end North Korea's nuclear threat, for example. Blow their shit up off the launch pad and send them a message saying "ready to talk yet?" Problem is, if we miss...

Why do they even bother having a missile warning system in Hawaii. If there really was a missile fired at Hawaii, there isnt anywhere on the island you could go and survive a missile strike anyway. It would be better for people there to just be oblivious that a missile is incoming than be all panicked

Bomb shelters? Low yield nuclear weapons won't do that much damage.

This needs to be vigorously investigated. This is not acceptable.

Yeah i know, that's why the people in charge have to make sure it doesn't happen again; we don't exactly live in a time we can make jokes about missiles or terrorist attacks.
