Vanessa Vancleef.
In Legion, Vanessa is shown to be alive and she reveals that she merely faked her death inside Deadmines. She has also become a member of the shadowy organization known as the uncrowned.
There are several reasons why Vanessa would be a good new face among the Stormwind's leaders.
* She has lived among the poor people of Westfall, she knows and has experienced their burden.
We know that Vanessa grew up with Saldeans who came to call her Hope, but from the very young age when she saw her father dying to Stormwind bounty hunters to the day she threw away her disguise and revealed her true identity she has lived among the poor people in Westfall. One can't really understand what the poor go through with unless they were once there, or have experienced it in some way.
* She is nearly Anduin's age.
While there are several candidates for Anduin, Vanessa is among the few who is both human and around Anduin's age. not mentioning that she is from the lands of Stormwind. Tess, Jaina and Calia are all too old for Anduin and it wouldn't sit well with alot of fans if they get into a political marriage with Anduin. This is not AsoIaF nor is this a Witcher story, This is a casual friendly lore. Anduin is better off with a wife nearly his own age.
* She wants the corrupt Nobles to be held responsible for their negligence.
She hates the nobility and the rich people in Stormwind who seem to show no interest in properly governing the lands of Stormwind kingdom. That was the main reason that lead to the formation of the Defias was in the first place: They wanted the nobles to be held accountable for what they did, but that never happened.
Varian was never truely a ruler, He was quite skilled at being a war commander and that's what he truely was : He was more interested in leading military campaigns himself rather than leaving someone else in charge of campaigns and as a result he was not spending enough time governing his lands, from the very start of his rule he left that charge to the Stormwind nobles, their incompetence and corruption caused widespread problems for Stormwind a matter which seems to continue even today. The fact that Westfall, even after Katrana's death and the dissolution of the Defias, is left in a worse situation than it was previously and then starts to get overwhelmed by refugees with nothing to eat only served to confirm this. Katrana was long dead after this, why were Westfall and Darkshire still unattended to? Who was responsible for this? The fact that both these towns requested aid and received nothing in return shows how corrupt certain elements within Stormwind are, and they still continue to be, which is why these towns are still defended by the local militia instead of Stormwind military.
* She knows how to manipulate and rally people behind her back.
She managed to make an Alliance pack with smugglers, Gnolls and goblin engineers in a short notice. She has shown to have a knack for rallying people behind her back and manipulate them to do her bidding. this seems to indicate that she's more a puppeteer than a pawn. That's what a politician should be, which is why I think she can excel at dealing with the nobles of stormwind.
* She is now a member of a new organization called The Uncrowned. who specialize in assassinating and infiltrating the royalty and the nobles.
Among all the questionable characters that in the Alpha are inside the rogue hall and are considered members of a new organization called The Uncrowned, Vanessa Vancleef makes the MOST SENSE to be a member. Also by being a member of this organization she has the means to infiltrate Stormwind because of the resources such organizations are suggested to have : training, funding and connections.
Her backstory also connects her to Stormwind, There can't be a Vanessa Vancleef without that because her vendetta against Stormwind is one of her defining characteristics. Whereas with figures like Lorna and Tess you have to come up with a reason for them to be connected to Stormwind, which makes the only viable solution to be political marriage.
So she has the will and the means to be in Stormwind. and seeing that she's a clever and manipulative figure it would it extremely likely for her to infiltrate SW one way or another. Perhaps like Katrana and Daval Prestor she can manage to establish herself among the nobility under a different name, and slowly work her way to the top by playing it smart.
------------
She sounds like a good candidate for nobility if one wants to improve the life of Stormwinds' subjects, given her desire to hold the Stormwind accountable for it's negligence in treating the poor. if her vendetta can be redirected from the Wrynn family (which was misplaced to begin with) towards the lazy, backstabbing nobles that still hold the power at Stormwind she can be a perfect player that fights for the people against those who were actually responsible for her father's fall into the criminal world and the formation of the Defias Brotherhood.
Anduin and Vanessa sound like a perfect yin-yang couple, Anduin is calm and diplomatic, Vanessa is fiery and unpredictable. It would be an interesting story to see how Anduin can influence (and be influenced by) her and perhaps help her in becoming a more forgiving character, pretty much similar to how he managed to influence and change his father.
Vanessa can easily become the next Lady Onyxia : she can slowly make her way into Stormwind and take control of it's political structure without having any ill-intentions towards Anduin and the Kingdom itself, while pursuing those who were truely responsible for the events that lead to her father's exile from Stormwind.
She can bring something which was lacking on Alliance side since we stopped Onyxia : conspiracy plots. an interesting story to break Alliance out of this boring image of "goody two shoes" faction and add some real struggle within the Alliance ranks. We don't need another pure-good character for Alliance, we need a pragmatic and manipulative character. and Vanessa sounds like a great candidate for that role.
They should be shipped to secure Stormwind's future and put an end to the peculiar rumors of our beloved King's sexuality.
all in favor of this decision say yes.
ALL HAIL OUR NEW QUEEN!
