So 6 months later? ;-)
No, really, you are absolutely right: some people think that classic is somehow near the ballpark of 2018; classic will more likely release as you said in the content drought of BfA. Since BfA will be released somehow between Q4 2018 and Q2 2019, i can see classic getting released around Q2 2020.
Especially because i personally think that they are also working on the other expansions too; if the infrastructure of classic is already here, releasing BC and WotLK will be much easier.
And if BfA is as bad as i think it will be, then having a secure net like classic is always good to have. Because one thing for sure: Blizzard will not release Classic anywhere near BfA or any content patch.
They probably don't have the old character records in their main frame. They have several revisions of several in game systems so I'm not sure if those code were entirely deleted or just put of as /* commented*/

Vanilla WoW will definitely have a prelude quest for it to be playable and for sure Chromie will have something to do about it.
God I hope they will have something for us to do in the mean time I dont relish the thought of running Antorus for an entire year I guess its back to Eorzea then in the mean time.
The post has been editted to testing cycle

Its true though, F&F hasnt started. Makes me wonder how deep in the Blizzcon build was, considering a whole dungeon was playable
Since the token system was implemented I’ve paid for game time using gold therefore spending 0$, so ya you’re probably a nub bruh better luck next year !

You’re dreaming if you think this xpac is coming out December LOL. Come on man use your head there is so much less going into this xpac than Legion. The BfA team has apparently over 300 people working on it. BfA is coming out September 2018 - save my name and @ me when it comes out so you can remind me to tell you “I told you so”
Why is it that always the most retarted posts get so many attention on this forum?
But yeah, I mean sure... it's like anyone expected a June release or whatever
Retarded lights attract retarded flies.
The naysayers and doomsday prophets will make due with any information they can twist around and put in a negative light. Example:
A sane person's thoughts:
BfA releases late summer: Good
BfA releases Q4: Ah well, more time for me to invest in other stuff
WoW-hater stereotype's thoughts:
BfA releases late summer: Ugh, Blizzard shipping an unfinished product as usual, it needed to be in beta for atleast another 2 months. I knew it was gnna be shit.
BfA releases Q4: kalled ut! kalled ut! me right agajn, 1 year of Antoruz Blizzurd suks Deadgame OMEGALUL!
They'll always keep up the act. If you can't stand this basic routine, I'd suggest leaving this forum permanently before the cancer becomes terminal.
Just a guess based on how Blizzard has not even started working on it at Blizzcon. If you think about what you get done in 1 year in such a complex field, such as building a game and the whole infrastructure/human resources supporting it? 1 year is nothing. Even 1,5 years is a very optimistic estimate. Even a 2020 launch estimate isn't that pessimistic
Wouldn't spoil the fun for them now would I
But tbf, I used to be very negative about Blizzard too,
back in WoD when people had legit reasons for having criticism turn to frustration and rage.
Blizzard is far from perfect, but with Legion they rightfully regained some of my faith.
I invite any naysayer to tear me to shreds for embracing the 'fanboi' way.
They said classic is a long term project, I'm pretty sure to the order of a year or more.
Also, love how I created a thread for this when it was actually current information and everyone was dicks and now someone posts the same thing and people are like let's talk about it in context and see how it affects our release date projections.

But I thought Alpha was the open Beta and Beta was the released product?
And you are justified being pessimistic in that regard, because they indeed haven't proven to reduce expansion gaps. I personally have faith because of Legion's content cycle, but that's enough to go by for others.
The point I was making is how ridiculous some people will blow it out of proportion to the point of sadness. If you distrust Blizzard and simply choose to unsubscribe: fine by me.
People that are astonishingly frustrated by the prospect even though they claim to not care for WoW, and berate others for thinking differently about it: retarded fly.
