Reported hijab attack on 11-year-old girl ‘did not happen’

A lot of people make these false reports, women claiming assaults that didn't happen, there was this one Israeli kid who called in over a 100 bomb threats to US Jewish centers.

I don't know why, maybe to draw attention to the issue?

It had nothing to do with religion/woman bashing. It is just a 11 year old kid who wanted some attention. It happens very often that kids make up stories that they know adults will listen to them.

That is the worst way to draw attention to something. Everyone should have learned that as a kid with The Boy Who Cried Wolf... It just makes people less likely to believe it when it really does happen.

Wasn't the Keaton Jones gofundme not actually set up by or associated with the family? I don't think it was ever proven that the kid said anything racist that led to his being bullied. It's entirely possible, but as far as I know it was never determined to be true. The video could easily have just been for attention on the mom's part though.

I mean shes 11 years old not sure why anyone expect legal consequences coming to her for lying. Her parents mabye, but even that is unlikely if nothing indicate they had a hand in the lie. Unless they commit murders and such, minors that young hardly face legal consequences unless its repetitive things. One of my younger brother was arrested once for climbing a comms tower at night and was investigated by the federal police for doing a prank call when he was 12-14. Never had legal consequence for neither, just told to never to it again lol.

She was probably told that wasting police time on investigation for attention is wrong and that next time it can have consequences for her and her parents and thats pretty much it.
