How will Darkspear "survive" inclusion of the Zandalari in the Horde?

Blizzard might pull some "chosen of the loa " prophecy to make them extra relevant. In fact they kinda did that in Shadows of the Horde with Vol'jin. Though it might come off as slightly mary sueish

Selfish opinion: I don't mind if Zandalari overtake the Darkspear because I prefer that flavor of Troll. They are the troll master race and Rastakhan is a bamf.

I know we'll be getting Vol'Jin origin story, but not sure if that will actually progress Darkspear story apart from maybe fleshing them out a little.

Oh, not sure why I thought they said we're gonna learn Vol'jin's origin story. Well, even better if you're right.

I like Zandalari a lot too, but it doesn't feel right leaving Darkspear in a state they're right now. Our boy Vol'jin rejected all the other troll tribes for the Horde after all!

Vol'jin is most likely going to have something to do with the Zandalari joining Horde. His story is not yet over.

Alot of the new races has this problem tho, Like why would you roll a Tauren when you can roll a much cooler Highmountain Tauren with Antlers and Tattoos?
Why would you roll a Dreanei when you can roll a lightforged that got glowy tattos, marks on their forehead and\or glowy hooves
Why would you roll a dwarf when you can have a flaming fucking beard! And from what we have seen so far, The new allied races even have wastly superior racials to boot

This is how I see it. I want them to add Mulgore tauren specific stuffies as customization options so that the new ones don't overshadow them so much. I don't mind as much with draenei or even the zandalari because the tattoos and such aren't things they should already have, whereas feathers and beads are things tauren already should, and were supposed to see introduced eventually (anyone remember the artcraft for the new tauren models with the feathers in the hair/beards?)

Zandalari are ten times more interesting. Darkspear shouldn't appear as anything more than canon fodder from now on.

If he's gonna come back to life this is certainly how they'll do it. But even with Vol'jin back if they don't do something significant for the Darkspear I still feel like Zandalari will simply overshadow them in almost everything.

In BfA I would love to see story about factions themselves not just about fighting each other. The horde is pretty much in disarray, we don't know who the orc racial leader is or troll leader is, at least not officially. Also what the hell is Thrall up to? He founded the horde so he does have a responsibility. If Blizzard wont progress his story then just kill him.

Orc racial lead was confirmed to be Saurfang, Troll I believe was confirmed to be co-lead by Rokhan and Vanira I think.

From what I remember, the continent of Zandalar is in a civil war, so I would imagine the Zandalari trolls joining the Horde are a faction that has to do with that.

At the end of the day there are a bunch of Races in WoW that are present simply because they had 1-2 units in the RTS games. Gnomes/Goblins/Trolls etc.

Gnomes only had a single Unit in Warcraft 1-3, the gnomish flying machine in Warcraft 2.

Goblins were strictly neutral in Warcraft 3, were bit more present in the Horde in Warcraft 2 with Goblin Sappers, Zeppelin.

Trolls had a bigger presence than Tauren in Warcraft 3, as far as units are concerned.

Heck, in Warcraft 3, Trolls were described to be decent masons, they "built" the Altar of Storms, too bad that seemingly every Troll Tribe is good at this except for the Darkspear.

Or if they ever decide to stop screwing the Darkspear tribe, they could have him come back for real. And Armed with his knowledge of death and life he could train the tribe or something. And sylvanas would try to absorb this knowledge somehow?

But hey, we still has Rokhan. His model is so unique that apparently he needs no model upgrade.

I really hope Blizzard manages to go in depth on the lore of all the races, Trolls included, BFA is a perfect chance to. Though I highly doubt they'll answer those questions as it seems like, lately, they're more focused on the big picture of the story as opposed to the smaller parts.

he could be resurect in the end of the zandalari chain quest and come to power, well, he don't know the plot of BfA, we only know it will be Horde vs Alliance, he could fit anywhere.

Honestly a beef between trolls x humans is better than undead high elf vs human
