Yes I would grind honor prestige to max level, archaelogy, fishing. After that probably gold in order to pay for subscription, or just stop as the electricity might be more expensive lol.
It's not cheating the game. You're literally paying a $5 fee so you could trade your subscription for another player's earned gold. People have already traded gold with friends, or traded for items and in-game services.
It has zero relevance to botting and buying from goldfarmers. Bots and goldfarmers break the terms, and they illegally access another person's account. Bots are also programmed, meaning you do nothing to play the game and can bypass mechanics or inhumanly play the game (see PvP .5 second silence). Botting also influences endgame PvP and raid brackets.

I am both too lazy to farm and too lazy to bot.
If this was a built in feature... well yeah everyone would...
If you have to bot, then you're clearly playing the game for the wrong reasons.
Ridiculous grinds like the old BG honor system really entices me to use a bot/autoclicker for grind. But I must say, in mobile games, there's a concept of auto-battling that people use once they're too lazy to input commands into the game. The perception on automated game work has changed somewhat nowadays as compared to the past.
People bot in mmo's to have the parts they don't enjoy as much automated for them. This really isn't unusual at all, I am sure we all automate things in life regularly to allow more time for the things we really enjoy. An example for me is I have auto cleaning litter boxes. I enjoy having my cats around but I don't enjoy cleaning up their shit, so I invested in a couple of boxes that scoop themselves so all I have to do is empty the bags once every few weeks. Even though I enjoy the cats overall, I don't enjoy 100% of every aspect of owning cats, specifically cleaning shit.
Certain things in wow could be the equivalent to cleaning cat shit for people. A part of the game that is necessary to get to the point of another part which the player really enjoys. In these cases, I totally get why people would bot. Personally I have never been bothered, but I know other pvp-centric players that just wanted to play arena. Nothing else. They automated the leveling and initial gearing process, and didn't care if anyone liked it or not.

Oh yes definitely. For things I just hate to do and thus eon't but would still happily get the rewards .
Archeology and fishing.
Horribly boring professions that you have to be brain dead to enjoy. Watching paint dry or rain fall is more entertaining.
No.
Why would I pay to play a game and then not play it?
For any tedious stuff or things I don't like I avoid it. Fishing for example.
For all of you saying
‘no, why would I pay to NOT play the game’ - or some version of this
Well, if you botted for a couple of hours every night/ morning, you wouldnt have to pay for the game
Yes, I would bot, I would have the bot farm gold so that I wouldnt hsve to pay for a sub
I've no idea what to write here.
Disarm now correctly removes the targets’ arms.
I would for fishing, especially on a classic server whenever those open up, i fucking hate fishing but its such an easy way to make $G$ in vanilla wow

I have 3 monitors and there still isnt enough monitor space in my room to make fishing not want to off myself
Nope- I did this back in D2, and it pretty much ruined the game for me. Set up bot, go to bed, wake up to all kinds of uniques in the morning. It was sad when I found out the game could play more efficiently and better than I could.
I'd probably have the bot farm those damned veiled argunite crystals so I can finally get a 910+ arcano on my hunter. It's seriously not fun having gambled a bunch of times and still not having one.
