    Cloning Elvis

Could we use this cup to clone Elvis?

Paper Cup Allegedly Used by Elvis Presley Up for Auction

    https://www.snopes.com/2018/01/18/pa...esley-auction/

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A paper cup allegedly used by Elvis Presley six decades ago in Oklahoma is up for auction, and bids have already surpassed $1,200.

North Carolina resident Wade Jones is a collector of all things Elvis. He tells the Tulsa World that the crumpled blue-and-white Dixie cup was snagged by a fan in April 1956, after Elvis performed at the Tulsa Fairgrounds Pavilion.

Jones says a fan named June allegedly retrieved the cup the day after the performance, right before Elvis left town for a show in Oklahoma City. A letter accompanying the collector’s item says June had asked to keep the cup “as a little memento.”

Bids for the now-yellowed paper cup had surpassed $1,280 on eBay by mid-day Wednesday. Jones says the auction closes Sunday evening.

It might be unethical and while it would be a genetic copy of him, it would grow up entirely differently and for all intents and purposes be an entirely different human being.

Yes we can and yes we should just stop even asking.

But seriously I don't think they can necessarily get what they need from a cup this old. Any DNA would probably be exposed and damaged. Uh huh.

We can clockwork orange him with elvis videos.
The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.

Why would you want to? Elvis was a Drug Addict who sang mediocre music.

Why, so we can induce a Peanut butter and Banana Shortage? Or so he can die again crapping on the toilet?

Exactly, and I wouldn't clone them either. If I was going to clone someone I'd clone someone actually useful to Mankind.

I mean i guess maybe you could, ethical issues aside but why would you want to? When it comes to human cloning their a long list of people who would be more needed. Clearly we do need like Einsteins dna etc, but of their was finding it should go there.

You do know that is just your opinion. He had and still has, a ton of fans. But I agree about the drugs. But that is common in all aspects of music, other than maybe opera.

probably not. i'm going on a limb here and say that saliva will probably deteriorate a bit over some 60 odd years.

but even if you could, you wouldn't end up with even remotely the same person.

Can you imagine it now, we clone Elvis, people are excited and watch his development growing up. Due to social factors in his upbringing, he doesn't turn to music. The people flipping out over not understanding how development and socialization work(aka nurture) start sending death threats to him, and Elvis 2.0 dies to an overdose from all the harassment.

the very definition of a great artist

Challenge Mode : Play WoW like my disability has me play:
You will need two people, Brian MUST use the mouse for movement/looking and John MUST use the keyboard for casting, attacking, healing etc.
Briand and John share the same goal, same intentions - but they can't talk to each other, however they can react to each other's in game activities.
Now see how far Brian and John get in WoW.
