It's not getting very good airflow then. I am sure your temperatures are fine, otherwise you would probably have changed it, but it's definitely choked and could perform better. Hardwarecanucks proved the whole fans up against window thing a bad decision recently.
Long story short, higher temps, higher noise because the fan works harder.
In my original post I indicated it's for aesthetics only and that I use the regular panel when using the computer.
Didn't make the connection. Whether it were a window or not, doesn't matter. What matters is the fan up against a wall. There's nothing feeding it, essentially.
Never seen an M1? The whole side panel is ventilated.

Did some upgrades this last month.
Razer Ornata Chroma
Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum
SteelSeries QCK Heavy Gaming mouse pad
Acer 27" Predator LED G-Sync XB271HU
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 Gaming
EK-M.2 NVMe Heatsink - Black EK m.2 nvme heatsink black
Will post a pics when i get the GFX card, wich should come mid next week (I hope). I i finally installed the purple Corsair fans.
I returned the Sound BlasterX AE-5. After some more testing, there just wasn't enough of a different between the AE-5 and my old Sound Blaster Z and to get the RGB working on the AE-5, you have to use a 4 pin molex, wich looks stupid and the cable was to hard to hide (What the hell was Creative thinking about?)

Had to do my rebuild sooner than I hoped. HDD died (thankfully I do weekly backups), and one of my DDR3 ram sticks went bye-bye.
old -> new
AMD FX 4300 3.8ghz -> AMD Ryzen 5 1600
Stock AM3 cpu heatsink/fan -> included Wraith spire cooler
Biostar mATX board -> Asus Prime B350Plus red LED
16gb DDR3 HyperX -> 16gb DDR4-2666 HyperX
PNY GeForce 650ti -> Gigabyte Geforce 1050ti Windforce OC edition
Seagate 500gb HDD -> Samsung 960 evo 250gb SSD w/ WD blue 2tb sata for storage
LG 16x dvdr -> LG 32x Bluray R/RW
TP Link N300 wireless -> TP Link AC1600 wireless (not a waste since we have fiber, and an AC router)
PSU is unchanged: EVGA 850w modular (only 6mo old)
Case is unchanged: Thermaltake v2 black mid-tower. added 3 120m red LED case fans for air channeling
AOC E2770SHE 27" TN LED Monitor... purchased in December, so no need to upgrade either.
Corsair K70 MXcherry mechanical keyboard, Logitech g602 wireless mouse, and Logitech g233 headset (all 3 were acquired in August)
total cost was > $1,000. Honestly, I feel like I am re-experiencing my games, the quality is so much better.

That's the plan. Right now I'm still working out the details of watercooling this thing though, so I might be a little slow on that. Hopefully not "a few years" slow though. :P
