Capitalism for me is like a game of monopoly. Trying to increase our own wealth in a closed system, where all the money and ressources are finite.

Need i remind people that a game of monopoly finish with 1 winner and 7 losers.

For me, the problem isn't so much with income inequality itself, but with how blatantly the system rewards the most corrupt and immoral among us, rather than those with actual merit. Most of the top CEOs wouldn't have the slightest clue how their own products are even made, the most valuable skills they possess all have to do with office politics and infighting, that's how you get to the top of the corporate ladder, not with technical skill. And just look at how many blatant examples there are of worthless children of billionaires who can barely tie their own shoes but continue to reap the rewards of their parents' successes.

You know, i think exactly the same thing.

I worked for a small biotech company, the CEO was the daughter of the founder and had no clue about the technical aspect, the commercial aspect or even the managing aspect of the company. She got the CEO job by pure nepotism.

And here i was thinking, i can get up to speed to do her CEO job fairly quickly, but she will need many years in university, including a PhD in chemistry before she can do mine. And yet, she was making at least 5 times what i made, plus annually dividend from her company share.

Considering the vast majority of MMO-C'ers aren't even in the top 75%, I think that's a rather dumb question to be asking here.

I barely get by as it is, living paycheck to paycheck, and sometimes barely even that, so no, I would NOT take a pay cut to make it easier on someone else. As a matter of fact, I would most likely be the one getting the bump from someone ELSE taking a pay cut.

Human progress isn't measured by industry. It's measured by the value you place on a life.

They do reduce my wealth, a healthy chunk of my money goes to taxes.

Personally, I am willing to take a cut in my pay in order to shrink income inequality because I do not like the social issues that come with lots of income inequality.
A gap of $1,000-$10,000 and $100-$1,000 is still 10x. If you reduce them by equal ratios the gap still remains, just with smaller numbers.

Considering there are only 565 billionaires in U.S. I am curious, how many examples you are talking about?

Not sure what your point is, Paris Hilton IS dumb, and while I'll give her some credit for actually making some money of her own, it's not like this wealth was the result of any meaningful contributions to society. I mean, she paved the way for the Kardashians and the rest of those reality star socialites, and I'm pretty sure the world is a much worse place for having them around.

Nope. Fuck poor people. I already give too much money to taxes that it’s considered a shitty return on my investment.
People working 2 jobs in the US (at least one part-time) - 7.8 Million (Roughly 4.9% of the workforce)

People working 2 full-time jobs in the US - 360,000 (0.2% of the workforce)

Average time worked weekly by the US Workforce - 34.5 hours

That's not how money works. If the boss losses wealth, that doesn't generally mean you lose it as well. If he's losing wealth, then it's being redistributed elsewhere. Hopefully in your pocket. The only time this is bad is when the bosses money goes outside of the country, and he's technically not losing money, just moving it.

The real problem with wealth distribution is inflation. The more money people have, the more likely the price of goods will rise.

Your starting presumption is so horribly wrong that it renders the conclusion useless.. There's no reasonable definition of wealth under which "wealth" hasn't expanded drastically over time.
