ReLife 217 - Not overly surprised that Kaizaki chose ReLife for his job, the question is now, what did Hishiro choose? However the writer is just toying with me now. First Kaizaki and Hishiro get within 10 feet of each other on a train without noticing each other, then he runs into some of the kids? GIVE ME CLOSURE DAMMIT

I guess these things do happen.TOKYO
It sounds like the set-up for a silly anime, but the end of the story is soberingly real.
There’s a guy in his early 20s, who’s not going to college and has no job. Somehow, he meets a junior high school girl, and despite their difference in ages, they team up for adventures connected to an interest in manga, and their capers eventually become so wacky that they land them in trouble with the authorities.
But even though the story combines so many well-worn anime/manga tropes, it’s really hard to pinpoint the specific series that has this precise mix, isn’t it? Well, don’t strain your brain trying to remember the title, because the above tale isn’t from any otaku media, but from real-life Kobe.
On January 30, at about 7:30 in the evening, police officers in Kobe’s Higashinada Ward arrested an unemployed 22-year-old man and a 14-year-old school girl, who were acting as partners in a heist attempting to steal 38 volumes of manga, with a total value of roughly 21,000 yen. The suspects subsequently admitted to the charges.

March Comes in Like a Lion - Episode 38/chapter 76
I was pleasantly surprised by Souya's characterization over these three episodes. At first he's setup as a genius, implacable shogi legend, and then in one single shot, his entire character is given an incredible amount of characterization. All of this without any need for a lengthy flashback or backstory exposition, and he only says two words in the entire episode.
Chica Umino is up there with Hiromu Arakawa for being one of the best authors I've seen who are able to introduce so many characters, characterize each and every one of them in depth, and make them stick with you with incredible efficiency.
Anyone else looking forward to Steins;Gate 0?
Overrated
:akko:
Hell yes.
Next season they're adapting the VN of Steins;Gate 0.
Multiple trailers in one.
Gist of the plot for any curious, contains Steins;Gate spoilers-
Instead of Mayuri smacking Okabe out of his depression and then him watching the video from his future self, Mayuri protects him, and he never goes back to save Kirisu. The story follows that timeline.

This show is really good at being subtly deep, at least with Hinata. Lotta stuff with her they're hinting at that I didn't catch. And I still like her more than the others. Also
