This plus the addition of the /meow emote (which just screams being designed for furries) do lend a lot of support to it. I personally hope not, though. I like allied races but feel like they're going overboard. At some point having too many races just dilutes the identity of the factions.

They also have a /sleep animation according to muffinus on twitter. (NPCs could too I guess)

I want to think it will happen with the introduction of the unique Vulpera cub/kit/child models, but the Kul'tiras also got unique child models and they aren't flagged with the same code as the Alliance Allied races.

Tauren just happen to be animalistic. Nothing about them really screams 'cute' or 'sexualized'. The Vulpera literally look like someone's fursona off of deviantart.

The sheer amount of granular customisation they've got is pretty firm confirmation that they'll be an allied race at this point. You wouldn't add different nose shapes for a race you planned to leave as NPCs.
