The last sentence is the only part of your post that is cool. The rest is just terrible.

Breaking news : lots of people were already adult when Vanilla was released. Lots of adults are smart enough to have lots of time to play. Buying your path through the game is hardly the concept on which Vanilla was built.

I wouldn't really mind if they added the token, but your arguments actually sounds more like a teenager trying too hard to look like a grownup, than genuine arguments.

People will buy gold from Chinese farmers anyway.

I’m not interested in tokens (in Vanilla) because I won’t raid (not enough time anymore), but I don’t see issues in gold tokens for Vanilla.

This has nothing to do with smartness.

If you are adult and you have a work + wife + son either you don’t sleep or you have a work that grants you a lot of free time, or playing a lot is just impossible.

I'd say having a work bringing decent revenues and lots of free time is a sign of smartness.

Also I'll admit that it's also partly provocative because I'm annoyed at people trying to posture with "I'm an adult so I don't have time like these kids". Especially when it's a blatant attempt to ask for handouts in games "hey I'm an adult, I don't have time, give me things to compensate".

I don’t know many works that grant you decent money an require few hours of work per day.

But anyways, i understand complains by adults workers, even if I agree with you that “if you don’t have time just play something else”. Today’s WoW for example is very enjoyable even for people like me that have 1 hour per day max and not even every day. But I also think that gold tokens won’t ruin economy.

Pay to win means any ingame advantage bought with $$. So no.

In Vanilla a lot of BiS items can be bought with gold off the AH. Or you can pay a guild for runs. No ty.

The fact that you even suggest a boost feature shows that you clearly DO NOT want Vanilla and you should definitely stay away from it.
A very big part of Vanilla was about the long journey to 60 and acquiring all your spells/skills along the way.
And you just want to skip it all. All I can say is stay with Legion, that's clearly a better game for you.... /sigh

But if they do not have Classic and Retail on the same sub fee then I am fine with some way to use a WoW token you can farm on Retail to pay for a month of Classic.
well, id rather give blizz 20€ for a token that i can sell ingame than to chinese gold farmers

This is a troll post right? I mean seriously wtf are you wanting from Classic if you don't want to actually do what people did during vanilla which is level a character to 60 and then put some effort in to getting geared, getting attuned, and farming resistance gear? That is literally what the vanilla experience was about. If you don't want to do what we did in vanilla then sorry to break it to you but Classic isn't for you.

Most adults I know have more time due to being able to adult and time manage constructively. Also the vast majority of the Classic player base are adults.

I do not think Classic will be for you or them. Basically you are wanting catch up mechanics for those who are grinding.

You are actively demonizing and ostracizing those with time management skills or have more time than you do to commit to a relaunch of classic.

Blizzard make enough money to cover any costs of Classic as it has been hinted that it will be included in the base sub cost, which also means returning players without a existing sub will be new numbers = new revenue.

Also it will effect players levelling normally. It will effect you also. You will just have to go back at max and redo what you skipped.

    Indistinguishable from post.

    Pretty much.
Most of the people who claim to "not have time" just sound like people looking for excuses.

Buying gold is buying time, nothing more.

I bought it at those times even if I had time play 3 hours a day minimum plus 7-8 in weekends. Just to re-point out how gold gaining was BAD implemented at those times.

Plus, 99,9% of people playing classic were there at that time and probably did MC and further a lot of times. It was only a matter ogni luck being in a decent guild, it had nothing to do with skill or whatever.

Gold selling will be in Classic, one way or another. I would prefer that Blizzard would have their cut instead of shady websites, but I don't really mind either way. Not going to spend hours farming gold lol.

  15. #95
I really hope tokens don't happen in classic. Gold was fairly difficult to make in classic unlike retail. Having an auto inflation maker next to the economy will ballooning it up and make things a lot more expensive in a harder to create gold environment. Now of course the problem will still exist. If Blizzard doesn't sell tokens than gold sellers will be selling gold out the ass. But I feel the problem being against ToS and thus bannable and punishable makes it a problem you are trying to control from one that you build in the inflation and accept it so it just runs out of control.

I'm free from the childish mentality where people try to claim about how they work supposedly for 50 to 70 hours a week (which is just bragging half the time, and only shows you're a mindless drone if it's actually real).
I also specifically chose a job where I can get from home to my desk in 20 mn, so it keeps commuting to a minimum.
That leaves quite a bit of free time, and I have enough money to pay the rents and the bills, save a few hundred bucks each monthes just in case, and have another few hundred to spend at my leisure.

    Basically =>

    Pretty much.
Most of the people who claim to "not have time" just sound like people looking for excuses.
    I am a sys/netadmin that work 1,5 to 2 hours from home. 40 hours a week.

There’s no work for me at 30 minutes from home, sorry, it’s not my fault. You’ve been lucky, the majority of us are usually not.

I usually wake up at 6.30 AM and I’m back home at about 7-7.30 PM (on Thursday 9 PM because my son has volleyball training). By the time I can sit at my desk and turn on PC it’s 9.30 to 10 PM. I play about 1 hour (with interruptions of course, I’m not home alone), then I have my shower, spend some time with my wife chitchatting or watching some tv series and at about midnight we go to bed.

This is having a family, unless you are selfish enough to act like you’re alone at home in the evening (good luck with your wife in the long period).

I wasted enough time on grinding the first 2 years of Vanilla, excuse me if for me it won’t be that issue to pay to avoid it again.

If Blizzard doesn't sell tokens than gold sellers will be selling gold out the ass. But I feel the problem being against ToS and thus bannable and punishable makes it a problem you are trying to control from one that you build in the inflation and accept it so it just runs out of control.
Can you explain why do you think that tokens will cause inflation? Tokens is just a matter of moving gold between players. Inflation means that there will be more gold in the game. If someone have gold, it's already in the game.

I think tokens would be a good move. As many people said it won't inflate the economy since it's moving gold from player A to player B. If there are no tokens it will just attract the regular gold sellers. And these guy's WILL actually have an impact on the economy.

So think about that for more than one second.

The boost also sounds ok. Just scrap the profession cap stuff and it's all good i think. Won't impact me anyway since i plan to level a char with my friends.

Yes and buying ingame advantages with IRL money is pay to win.

    Lol.

You clearly never did AQ or Naxx if you think those don't take skill.

They're launching Classic for old time players, who won't touch the game with a 10 foot pole if it's pay to win.
