I've seen CNN give out some questionable news, it's normally "OUR SOURCES" or "Our friend" never will it be on the record, even when they say it's a "retired General" They still have nothing on record, is it real news if they can't prove it?


I've seen news report of violent from certain groups, real video that exist, yet MSM like CNN or Politco would late claim "Out of context, false"

Why wave this "anonymous sources don't do it for me!" stick around? Anonymous sources have been used in news for decades because the sources would often get harassed, so there are numerous privacy laws regarding mentioning someone on television. To even go on television (at least in the US) you have to sign a ton of paperwork to have your image, name, etc. used even if it's for a very short segment, I know, I've been on TV a few times in minor segments. And a lot of sources just don't want to be named for privacy.

Who deems what is and isnt restricted? The government. What if speaking ill of said government and protesting them is now considered hate speech? Its happened before in less developed countries so its silly to assume it cant also happen to the likes of canada.

That should be left to the market/court of public opinion. If certain sites or news agency post bullshit or are biased it begins to show and effect their business in positive and negative ways.
