weapon skills leveling.............i hate that soo much, most anoying thing in vanilla by far

That in order for Night elves to use Alliance Starting zones you had to try to death walk the Wetlands, and also to get your Warlock Pet you had to go through horde territory in the barrens.

The myth that 40 man raids were ever actually fun.

Waiting for 40 people to show up on time.

Waiting for one of those 40 people to come back from a disconnect mid-boss.

Waiting for a half hour for people to finish rolling or spending DKP, waiting for the arguments between the winners to subside on who should get what mediocre purple upgrade with basic ugly graphics.

Just the general waiting for all the minutiae of ducks to be in a row to down a boss that, quite honestly, wasn't that hard and the mechanics weren't that fun or complex.

People are under some grand delusion that vanilla was this magical happy rainbow fun time they miss greatly. They are going to change their mind quickly when they actually have it again.

Everything people have listed are things I'm actually looking forward to... maybe not manual flight paths, but there's a pretty good chance we wont be playing that vanilla build.

If I pick one it was drinking/eating, I think they should have had an up-gradable flask that had unlimited uses, drinking was fine but having to buy drinks and food constantly that never quite filled you up sucked, especially as a paladin and a few of the other mana users.

So in short a flask that restores a flat% of mana over like 15 seconds, you could even have it give a little bit of MP5 too as a passive on the item.

The only other annoying thing was re-spec cost, was the most useless thing ever and it deterred players from trying other specs who weren't raking in tons of cash. Basically it was a sad excuse of a time sync and probably turned a lot of people away from certain content.

Trying to figure out ridiculously complex dungeon sequences without any real guides to look up information; like the Dire Maul tribute run. You guys remember Thottbot??

Consumable requirements for raiding. Especially when you got into things like Naxxramas. Flask (which you had to go into scholo/BWL to make...) AND multiple elixirs, food buffs, weapon oils, a stack of potions per pull. Some of the fights like Loatheb were ridiculous on this.

The corpse runs. Dying in some raids it took like 5+ mins to run back to the raid and then 10 mins to run through the actual raid back to the boss you were up to and then like 10 more mins waiting for the lost stragglers to find you because you didn't have enough soul shards to waste them summoning 5-10 idiots per wipe.

The server performance. So much downtime and lag in Vanilla.

The limited buff/debuff slots. Especially in the earlier days when it was like, what, 8 slots? Completely stupid. And then you also had stuff like only one rejuv/renew per person meaning if you had more than one druid you had to nominate who uses your HoTs etc.

The quantity of loot drops in raids. You kill a boss with 40 people... 2 drops! Enjoy! It could take SO long with SO much RNG to get a full set of gear. We farmed BWL for well over a year and I only got like half my tier set before 2.0.

This, sums up my hate.

The ones who exploited were not the try hards, they were the bads desperate to be good.

The try hards were the teams with two full T2+ / Talisman of Ephemeral Power geared Arcane Power / Presence of Mind / Pyroblast specced mages who would just delete the flag carriers with the Berserker buffs :')
