The dude (Sandy Hook) pointed a machine gun at 20 kids trapped in a room and dismantled their innocent little bodies into bits. That wasn't enough to make the US see common sense, then nothing ever will be.

No machine gun was used in that tragic event, nor were their bodies dismantled into bits. Absurd hyperbole does not help your argument.
