Dinged 110 on new char, did suramar emissary but did not start campaign... yeah, talyssra is not there, so why even give emissary quest for suramar if it is not possible yet?

Just do the intro quest, takes like 15minutes max.

It becomes an unintended breadcrumb in a way, but you can do the quest to unlock Thalyssra in around 15 minutes.

If you mouseover the chest on the world map, it will tell you if you can complete it or if you have to progress on the campaign. So you could have known before you did the first quests.

They give it because the introduction question is so simple and short, that you can do it within the same moment of of doing all the World Quests for it.

Doesn't matter, OP's already ventured into the Surumar zone to do so ^^FOMO: "Fear Of Missing Out", also commonly known as people with a mental issue of managing time and activities, many expecting others to fit into their schedule so they don't miss out on things to come.
