I honestly think your conclusions are dangerous from a game design perspective...
The most rewarding activities are the challenging ones...
You didn't think this thread title though, people just see it as a game.
The issue with making rewards across all content is that hardcore fans of any given area will feel "forced" to do stuff they don't want to in order to optimise performance in what you want to do.
Conversely if you have separate reward systems then it's a barrier for entry. If I'm not a massive fan of PvP, but feel like giving it a go during a content drought, then separate progression systems locks me out of it. I have no PvP gear, so I can't participate without hours of unfun grinding in unwinnable fights.
There isn't an easy solution, or Blizzard would probably have implemented it by now.
KILL babies
Do a quest
Trolls.
Either in-game or out.
Masturbate to Dwarfen Females
What?
Would it be wierder than Hentai freaks? Probably not
Confuse their own feels (or lack thereof) for the game with factual data that kills all other arguments.
And: Jumping around like morons when bored/on a mount that they want to show off.

Complains about shit they are guilty of doing themselves. The WoW community is king of the double standard.
Everyone logs into their accounts and chooses a character to play the game, in WoW
