Judging by leaks they're getting shit on storywise though. Sylvanas' isn't sympathetic at all anymore. As a Horde player I'm already very onboard with the idea of overthrowing her and putting Thrall or Saurfang on the job again. They might be savage, but Honor is still one of core aspects of what makes the Horde likable. Garrosh threw Honor to the side, but Sylvanas set fire to it and buried it.

Yea they get blue blood elfs, but horde gets nb and will get zandalari straight back orcs, draenor orcs, somewhat different tauren. Alliance gets recolored draenei recolored dwarfs,possibly inbred humans and some weird cat thing. So far hordes getting all the love cosmeticly

True but which looks it got more love? Void elvs are incredibly similar to blood elfs. But edgier. Nb are totally different and much better looking models

You'll have golden eyes when Blizzard decides to update old races (which doesn't seem like soon).
Blue eyes define high elves. You don't have those, they are Alliance. A few NPCs having them mean nothing. Player characters reflect the standard population, not the exceptions.

It will be interesting to see if Realm Pop updates to include Allied Races, because I haven't been in a Heroic Dungeon or Mythic Dungeon where there wasn't at least 1 Void Elf since they released.

I don't imagine the, "herp, there are only five people who like High Elves in the entirety of WoW" positions will hold up to scrutiny when their closest compatriots are the highest played race on the Alliance.
