the fearmongering at CPAC is real.
Surely you're talking about "If they get in, they will repeal your tax cuts, they will put judges in that you wouldn't believe, they'll take away your Second Amendment" right?
Special follow-up on that: Trump has already repealed the tax cuts. They expire for people, just not corporations.
EDIT: Or, are you talking about making the FBI into the enemy? Sounds like someone's scared of Mueller.

In the ongoing effort to prove that the era of strategic patience is over, Trump continues the era of strategic patience with more sanctions on North Korea, only this time adding "or else!" at the end, presumably shaking a fist at a passing cloud.
Look, to be clear, I think diplomacy and sanctions are the way to go here. I am 100% okay with this not turning violent. It's just worth pointing out that Trump is once again fumbling around at random, and doing exactly what he said failed for years and years.
This is modern conservatism. CPAC has become a mockery of what it once was supposed to be, and essentially a fully embraced alt-right platform.
I can't wait until Richard Spencer gets announced as a named speaker, only to be yanked for saying some completely indefensible shit right before the event like D'Souza and the Gateway Pundit founder this year.

In another instance of Trump clearly not profiting off being president, the RNC decided to pay nearly $40K a month in rent to Trump Tower, covering expenses previously paid for by the Trump campaign, when they were pressured into ending covering legal expenses for the Russia probe.
Totally normal.

And Elaine Duke is out, the #2 at DHS.

Well, shit. Yet another WH admin leaving rather than carry out Trump's agenda.Duke also reportedly faced pressure from Kelly, who urged her in November to deport thousands of Hondurans residing in the U.S. after DHS extended temporary protected status for the residents.
According to a Washington Post report, that episode angered Duke, who refused to reverse the decision to extend the residency permits.

I'm sure it's just a coincidence they're also hiring Trump's bodyguard, you know, the one he had to fire earlier because he was a security risk.

So Trump had a press conference with Australia today and BOY did things spin the other way.
Some details here, but, they strongly disagreed about China. In Australia, the rise of China is viewed as an overwhelmingly good thing. Trump says it's bad because Obama.

So, it turns out, Rosenstein had notified Trump that Kushner was having issues about his security clearance, yes additional ones, two weeks ago, Feb 9th. That's in addition to the ones we already know about.
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2018...clearance.html
He also thinks the system is "broken" and it shouldn't "take this long", apparently completely oblivious to the fact that Kushner continues to file updated disclosure forms with hundreds of omitted interactions and assets.
If a Republican ever again tries to lecture anyone about security and the importance of proper handling of classified information I'm going to have a hard time not laughing.
OMFG Trump you are despicable. *sigh* what has the republican party turned into? omfg. I can't even.

And in stores, too. Those are often robbed, after all. And Banks. And, well, let's just put metal detectors and cameras in every household. That is the only way we can prevent shootings. What is a little 1984, as long as you can both keep your guns and be safe from being shot.
