I think every human being should have a nice house with access to high speed internet

and clean water! Would that be a bad thing?

    I think this is unacceptable!

Why do the people who live on the houses on the right not care about the people on the left?

If everyone lived in a clean environment would humanity end up becoming like the Quarians? Or does evolution not happen that way?

Socialism is about providing the basics for life - shelter, security, food, water, education and medical care.

Doesn't have to be nice - just has to be adequate. But these days - the internet is a necessity, so maybe 25/5Mbps is where I'd call 'adequate'.

Challenge Mode : Play WoW like my disability has me play:
You will need two people, Brian MUST use the mouse for movement/looking and John MUST use the keyboard for casting, attacking, healing etc.
Briand and John share the same goal, same intentions - but they can't talk to each other, however they can react to each other's in game activities.
Now see how far Brian and John get in WoW.

I agree with you. If all people had a decent home, not extravagant but clean and decent, they could concentrate more on educating themselves and self improvement. People would probably be more willing to work together if they were not at each others throats.

Indeed, when I think "basic human rights", I think "good enough internet to stream PornHub".

What about the people that have a nice place but then proceed to turn it into a shit hole through neglect , like my old neighbor?
People working 2 jobs in the US (at least one part-time) - 7.8 Million (Roughly 4.9% of the workforce)

People working 2 full-time jobs in the US - 360,000 (0.2% of the workforce)

Average time worked weekly by the US Workforce - 34.5 hours

They should be encouraged to attend "education" on how to take better care of themselves and their home.

    What if they refuse ?

Do we give them another nice house so socialists can still get their warm fuzzys? Do we pay someone to maintain their house for them ?

Now why do you think those people would refuse, and just because they did refuse, why do you think that means none would take up the offer or the majority. People oftentimes down take care of things they have no investment in.

That isn't just poor people, goes for rich kids too. I would be just as uneasy renting to a couple or person unable to understand or take care of their rental as I would some Rich kid who's renting the same place while they go to the university.

Ever seen those welfare homes/apartments when they're first built? Pretty nice, nothing fancy but clean and efficient. After a year filled with people who don't give a fuck about them because they don't have to pay for them, they become the slums like in the left pic from the OP.
You're getting exactly what you deserve.

100% agree here. you will always get the odd person that won't change.

Based on how it is here where I live it is really the exception rather than the rule.

Except the rich kid could pay for any damages or clean up you had to do. Or pay someone else too.

Honestly it’s like you’ve never been outside or to a slum in which people are lazy pieces of shit that don’t maintain their home

As long as I get to decide what I think is a nice house. My father got a huge house with a garage larger than what most people live in with their families of 4-5. Most people would see that as ideal but I cannot help thinking of how much of that massive space goes wasted not to mention the goddamn cleaning. He has a roomba that goes around and honestly it's about to die from stress.

several questions of the op: you dont seem to know the difference between a house and a flat. House= property, you own the ground and the house. U own something that is worth a quarter million of euros.

Flat= u own nothing, but pay rent every month. you own nothing of substantial value, and you dont gain much net value, because a big part of your income goes into rent.

What your photo is showing, are flats. New flats and old flats. The old flats are perfectly fine for a decent living at lower cost, the newer ones are more expensive. Nobody living in both of the parts of the picture is probably very rich, as rich people tend to be able to buy houses and ground. The person with average income in the left flat will be able to own a house in 20 years, whereas the person in the right flat will be spending a bigger part of his income on rent, and therefore will not be able to afford a own house in 20 years. newer flat = higher rent.

The socioeconomic problem is that rich people buy old flat complexes, renovate them and rent them out for more expensive rent. Therefor the not so rich people have less opportunitiy to live in low cost flats, to save and afford a own house. Clever people would take a flat in the left part of the foto, at best before rich people would buy the left part, renovate it, and profit from the higher rents.

First off eh NO!, Which is why all the people who rent now have to have $500,000 Renters insurance, just because people have money, doesn't mean they are going to do the responsible thing, and even when you do have to take them to court to make it right, it still time, resources and energy, that could just have easily been wasted on someone who was poor and also just didn't care.

And yes, I have seen plenty of properties, and know many now who own them, from trailer parks to multifamily dwelling units, and some single family homes, they are all pretty much in the same boat. If people don't have an investment as in ownership, most people treat their homes like they treat a rental car.
