I would assume that an increase in rape reports has far more to do with women feeling empowered to report rape, a crime that is chronically very often not reported and less so about an actual increase in rape. On some level, #metoo works, and this proves it.

They are bringing many of their country's problems with them. Islam doesn't have a great humans rights or women's rights record. Their treatment of women and the LGBT community is abhorrent. If you take away the label of Islam, they would be just religious conservatives who hate gays and think women should be at home making babies and sandwiches.

And yes, per capita matters. if Country A has 25mil people, Country B has 100mil people, and Country C has 350mil people.. and lets say each country has 750,000 homocides a year.. You can use per capita homicide rates to tell you that Country A has a SERIOUS problem, while Countries B, and C have significantly lower rates.. it means that more people in a country are killing fewer people.

yes, the US is a country of laws, homicides are serious crimes and the US laws are very strict against murderers. Murder 1 gets life in general. But the US is not El Salvador or Venezuela, as a rich develop country, the US homicide rate is alarming high.

And it's not that the US is more crime prone than France, UK Germany or Canada, crime rate are comparable in those countries, it's just that crime in the US is a lot more LETHAL.


PS: beside, you are aware there are more than 200 countries in the world right. Being 94th means there is a good 100 countries having lower homicide rate. Not exactly boasting material.
