And yet neither of you had any complaints about the cover of Jimi Hendrix's All Along the Watchtower for Battlestar Galactica. Or the dozen other "classics" in this thread that were remade. Covers wouldn't be covers if they didn't reimagine classic songs.

Lauren slowed down the delivery, the song just resonates better this way.

I find David Bowie covers to usually be better than his. The man himself thought he was a better song writer than performer. Not to say he wasn't a great singer, but he was kinda right. His songs in the right hands are great. Just listen to this:
