Reminder that the NRA during the 60s/70s tried their hardest along with Cali governer Reagan to enact gun control through the Mulford Act. ...on the black panthers and minorities in general. The black panthers pushed for gun rights in order to defend themselves from what they deemed as a hostile govt and racially motivated crimes at the time. Which they weren't wrong, by the way, since the federal govt successfully ended up dismantling the black panthers then suddenly the NRA and Reagan were pro-gun rights and open carry!

If there was ever any sort of real danger or real crisis that you or your family had to face, would you want NRA members on your side or "men" like John Oliver?

Whilst the US is still named the same, it's very different from when it just started.

History is important and cooperation from other countries and it's citizens.
Most of the technology and science fields are achieving due to colaberation (it was like that in britain as well as any other leading nation).

I'm anti-gun but I understand that you can't magically make guns disappear in American society.

Being weak (physically, emotionally, mentally, you name it) is very bad for survival. Strong people are way more likely to survive, way more likely to breed, etc.

Modern, developed societies are relatively new, having been around for at most a few thousand years (or less, depending on how you define modern). As opposed to the scale of human evolution, which is over millions of years.

Modern society allows for weaker individuals to survive when historically they wouldn't have.

I just don't have the words to respond to this steaming pile of ignorance.
