I can't really see how you can compare the 2. It's like saying pizza vs burgers or coffee vs tea. They're both good and have their rightful spot. I think it all depends on what I'm seeking at that current moment. If I want something sweet, hands down it'll be donuts. Maybe I want something sweet but not overly sweet, then I'll get a raisin/cinnamon begal and put a slice of butter on it.
