You’ve yet to prove why Bezos having 130 billion took away from my 200k.
People working 2 jobs in the US (at least one part-time) - 7.8 Million (Roughly 4.9% of the workforce)

People working 2 full-time jobs in the US - 360,000 (0.2% of the workforce)

I can't fathom having that much money.. It must be liberating to know that you can practically buy whatever the fuck you want.

You're still a wage earner, and the vast majority of the productive gains made by you and all other wage earners are still vastly underpaid due to active policies both in business, tax and securities law that is heavily biased towards capital accumulation. The same cannot be said of labor. Welcome to the fight underpaid proletariat.

Well you would think so, but that's rarely how it is because billionaires tend to be obsessed with how their wealth stacks up to their rich buddies and are always trying to one up each other. It's lonely at the top of the mountain when everyone else is gunning for you, and Bezos is going to more focused than ever on amassing as much wealth as possible so that nobody else will be able to catch up.

I wonder how much of that is liquid assets, and where people rank on that richest person scale. I bet he has a lot less than 130 billion.

A good side to this is that he (Bezos) recently stated that he will put a large chunk of his wealth in the development of their space program.

Microsoft is nearly obsolete and wow i cant believe i lived long enough to say that!

Maybe Bill Gates might think twice about giving away nearly all his wealth to charity!!

The only reason he is ahead of Bill Gates is because Gates has given over $35 billion to charity.

Military development aside, the entire future of space exploration will be commercial.

Well you have to find out how many people already have houses first to find the real number. In some countries houses probably cost a few grand or less to make.

Well, he's at least the richest man on earth with a confirmed wealth.

There might be people or families with more, but it's mostly a guessing game.
For example, it was speculated last year that Putin might have anyone between 40 billion up to 200 billion dollars.

Oh and you aren't a wage earner? Guess what rugged conservative individualist, if you make money off your labor, you're extremely underpaid.

Because he got a tax cut the rest of us are going to get richer. /s

Correct. Richest man by XXX source most likely. I think there are families (and notably individuals from those families) with trillions.
