I know how you feel, I poured hours and days into going through everything from Twitter to reddit, even had Wowhead dataminers helping me. With all the support on the official forums, they finally did it! I can't wait to play em!

Not like it will remove split runs anyway. Guilds will just run with a lot of Class X and select whichever alt gets the best luck/funnel gear to them thanks to trading. SPlit runs will remain a thing so long as it provides even a shadow of an advantage which it still will.

It'll definitely put a dent into split raiding but I don't think the benefits outweigh the risks of ruining the way the majority of the game handles loot in guilds. Loot will still be tradeable, it just won't be tradeable for at least a few weeks due to the item level restriction.

I kind of wish Blizzard would have at least waited until the next expansion after BfA to experiment with the way loot is handled. The elimination of tier sets might be enough of a reason for a lot of guilds to just stop doing splits without needing any intervention like this.

Well they didn't say they would get rid of it right now, only that they believe guilds preferred ML because of tier sets which are going away. Ion did not announce the death of ML, but he did allude that its demise might come someday.

For so long have I wanted to play a Zandalari troll, and when I saw they weren't taller than a hunched orc I lost some of the fire I had for them. Expected Blizz to just leave it unfinished like Nightborne and most customisations they implemented back in WoD.

So, it's as if I HAVE to do this, but I am glad I did, but I do not take all the credit. The community supported it vastly, and the devs actually heard us and changed it, too! Team effort!

True, hopefully it is just that: a mostly internal discussion.

I am a bit surprised to hear something like that come out of Ion as a player, though (at least with him saying it's a reasonable idea). I'd imagined that he'd be one of the more likely people to understand the risks of loot going to the wrong kind of players if the current PL system were to be pushed as the primary system. Hopefully like you said though, they won't plan to get rid of it now.

Don't know if you guys saw in my main post, or if you have been following my crusade for the past few months, but we did it! Zandalari are now the proper height! I am very happy about that! First the were human height, then night elf height, but we finlly got them tauren height. (I mean, technically in the lore they are taller than tauren, but for gameplay/mechanics it works). That was so awesome that they listened to us!

I wanted female Zandalari to be taller too, though.
