For me, it was doing what i do best, help out people with any IT problem at home or in need of any installation at home. Atleast that's how i met people that i could confidently open a dialogue with (whenever i'm in my comfort zone making conversation becomes much more easy and natural with people around me, like, doing what i've been doing since i was 10)

I found this method to work the best. As long as you are honest, friendly and not playing some game (you know- all the "tricks" people do that they think will help them find someone)- people will be open to you.

I use a similar technique I call forgetting to run away fast enough.

As a more serious answer though ... just relax and enjoy the people around you. The ones who find you interesting will probably meet you half way as far as working out if you might end up dating. Don't bother with the stupid PUA crap, but do get out into a variety of situations where you meet people. The fine details are going to depend on who you are, where you are, how you carry yourself, and all the rest, so there isn't a single, magic answer.

Don't use tinder. It's filled with people who are just there for some quick fun. Hard to find any relationship material type of people on it.

Woah.... now that sounds like some real shit. Well, my first girlfriend (Japanese) was cheating on me for a long long while. So I can kinda see your point, but I believe they aren't all like that. I think it depends a lot on the person. And yep, some girls (most*) are obviously dicks. Or shall I say... cunts xD?

Either way, I am not going in for anything serious as I will only be in Japan for another 6 months and then bye bye. Not doing any more of that "long distance relationship" stuff. 15 months was enough and some quality cheating was enough.

I will say though, being Greek, I'm almost always more fiery and passionate than the Asian girls I've dated. That's a good and bad thing depending on the situation :P

And yes, avoid long distance like the plague. Because it is a plague for relationships most of the time. If it's not going to be a long-term thing, then there's nothing to worry about. Just enjoy each others company and then go your separate ways, no harm, no foul.
