Hmm... you may be experiencing cognitive dissonance, here. Don't worry, such a condition often happens when a person holds contradictory beliefs: it's nothing a good exercise of contemplative, objective meta-cognition cannot cure. The problem, of course, is that the state of cognitive dissonance is often caused by lack of objectiveness in the first place, causing such an exercise to easily fail -- if attempted at all.

Hey, I'm not claiming Russian politicians are saints. Just exposing ppl's double standards. In fact, I quoted someone's message almost verbatim.

I don't see anything wrong with not helping that shithole.

Funny, coming from a Fin. You might want to consider buying a local history book.

Is that what you wish to imply?

Did Novichok hackers that took down the Florida bridge, interfere in the election?

Who said anything about being enemies? When your neighbor elects an autocrat time and time again a healthy dose of scepticism doesn't hurt.

Dont waste your breath on the kid with a Che t-shirt.
But soon after Mr Xi secured a third term, Apple released a new version of the feature in China, limiting its scope. Now Chinese users of iPhones and other Apple devices are restricted to a 10-minute window when receiving files from people who are not listed as a contact. After 10 minutes, users can only receive files from contacts.
Apple did not explain why the update was first introduced in China, but over the years, the tech giant has been criticised for appeasing Beijing.

Russia is far right these days so it isn't so clear cut anymore who sides with them.

Aww, you're so cute. I'll add "clueless arrogance" to the list of the defining traits I mentioned earlier.

The problem is unevenness - Putin and Medvedev have financial crimes piling up sky high, yet nobody bars them from election. They are not convicted? Paint me surprised, you don't get convicted when you are the justice and the judge.

But really, it is the usual Russian story and by extent the story of that region - almost all ex-USSR republics have corruption ingrained in them as a culture, there is maybe on ex-USSR republic so far that seems to be making real progress at eliminating this disease... and no, in case someone asks - it's not Ukraine - Ukraine is literally a failed state, a banana republic where everything and everyone can be bought and sold.

Moscow (AFP) - Russian opposition activists and an NGO on Sunday reported ballot stuffing and multiple voting during the presidential election which is set to see Vladimir Putin win a fourth Kremlin term.

The non-governmental election monitor Golos, which publishes a list of fraud cases online, by early afternoon had counted 1,764 irregularities, including observers prevented from carrying out their work.
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/oppositio...114556222.html

Early returns showed Putin receiving 72.1 percent of the vote with 22.6 percent of the ballots counted, according to the Central Elections Commission. The runner up was Communist Party candidate Pavel Grudinin with 15.6 percent.
    :
At 6 p.m. Moscow time, Russia’s Central Election Commission said, nationwide turnout stood at 59.9 percent — just above the level in the 2012 election at that time.

Even tho Russia is responsible for MH17, we still got a ton of people here who love the Russian regime.
    No idea why.

Here's a wiki link you might find useful if you're still confused:

I guess you're not Myz's second account? Then you might also want to pay attention to the fact that the question was not for you.

I wonder why they even bother holding elections no one takes it seriously may as well say he won with 100% of the vote and leave the poor people of Russia alone.

Their own people might. When the abnormal is seen year after year it becomes normal.
