She's a minor. Not-an-adult. I avoided "teenager" because that would include 18- and 19-year olds, who are adults. I don't need a particular label to make the point stick; the point is that this is a powerful adult throwing abuse at a minor who had recently suffered a horrible trauma.

A couple of the other survivors were on Bill Maher's show a week or two ago, and made a really fucking good point; when it comes to the experience of surviving something like this, these kids are the experts. They're the ones with experience, not the politicians. They're the ones who had friends gunned down, who hid from the active shooter who was in that very building.

Dismissing their experience and voice because they're young is asinine.
